‘Accumulissipation’, Large scale, versatile for installation: 40" x 97", Mars Black Acrylic on Semi-Transparent Frosted Mylar, 2008-2020, $3250.00

This painting is a creation of meditative practice; a memory piece. Each time I worked on it I was submerged in and overcome by a plethora of memories. Each time I reflect and stare in to specific areas of this piece I remember exactly what I was feeling, thinking and listening to (primarily every single Radiohead album that ever was). This painting is catalyst for tracking the movements of my life through time; a visual diary of sorts. Painting it demands adept concentration & relaxation for optimum dexterity. Specific breathing patterns lend to steadier hands, crisper lines, flow/momentum. I used mars black mixed with a bit of gloss medium and a 5 hair paintbrush to create it. It’s always in a state of completion and continuance (continuum). Its physical act of application prompts ideas of cyclical dichotomies, paradox, contradiction, morale & metaphor. Like nature, this piece accumulates in growth, slowly changing while evolving over the dissipation of time as a construct; hence, Accumulissipation. 2008 - 2022.
